Accreditations
HAZARD ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL CONTROL POINT (HACCP);
Hicks Transport takes pride in meeting quality standards. HACCP is the most internationally recognised system, based on production of safe food from a preventative approach. Our HACCP registration is reviewed annually to ensure that all company processes are current and meet regulation.
HIGH CONSEQUENCE DANGERGOUS GOODS (HCDG);
Being a licenced HCDG company it allows us to handle and transport High Consequence Dangerous Goods. Our drivers are also accredited and trained to deliver the safe transportation of Dangerous Goods.
In Victoria mixtures or emulsions that contain more than 45% ammonium nitrate are classed as HCDG.
NHVR - MASS MANAGEMENT & BASIC FATIGUE MANAGEMENT;
The National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation scheme is voluntary to complete. It is aimed at improving safety within the heavy vehicle industry.
The Mass Management module allows access to additional mass concessions, known as Concessional Mass Limits. Operations staff and drivers are provided further on the job training to ensure the safe loading and weight distribution to comply with Mass Management and provide a safe environment for all.
Operators who have completed Basic Fatigue Management can operate under more flexible work and rest hours. Completing this training also provides further training and understanding of fatigue management and safe work practices.
